Heat Runs are amongst the most exciting marine encounters I’ve ever witnessed. I am a #HeatRunJunkie. A Heat Run is where a female humpback is pursued by a pod of whales competing for her attention. The numbers vary, the actions vary, the testosterone levels vary. The action above and below the water are OMG! It’s really thrilling to jump in and see what commotion is happening under the surface.
