ON THIS DAY: It was a day of Juveniles today! We saw 4 carrying on and being ‘wreckless’, breaches, tail slaps, pec slaps, cheeky belly rolls, you name it! These adolescents are so cheeky and shy.
They are tiny when next to any adult. This odd size that’s not a calf and not a sub adult, blows aren’t so big either. You’ll often find them on their lonesome, BUT they are eager to join in on any group action lol. After our drop with #falsekillerwhales today ….. YES #falsekillerwhales a whole pod! We had a brilliant time with a #juvenile that was joined by an adult. Loads of beautiful white belly rolls and #whalesandwhich action lol.
Here’s a shot of the Juvie, he just stopped, paused….. and hung there #random, while I was at about 15m waiting for them to swim past. The light was beautiful and I bet he knew it too, the perfect pose for me.
